Research for “Finding Your Roots” Season 6
At 8/7c on Tuesday, 08 October 2019, the sixth season of “Finding Your Roots” starts on PBS. In 16 episodes, this season features 27 guests, amongst others Jeffrey Wright, Sigorney Weaver, Nancy Pelosi, Queen Latifah and Jeff Goldblum. The first episode traces the family histories of Isabella Rossellini, Anjelica Huston and Mia Farrow under the title “Hollywood Royalty”.
If anybody shouldn’t know the series yet: In each episode the family history of two or more persons is revealed. They get a “book of life” that contains the information researchers gathered together as well as a family tree. DNA-Genealogy is used as well. The host is Harvard historian Henry Louis Gates, Jr. He discusses the findings with every person and guides them through their family history.
We had the pleasure to do research on the German ancestors of one of this year’s celebrities. Apparently, she was very happy about the new information and of course, we are now looking forward to seeing her reaction in the episode.
