Andrea Bentschneider gives a presentation for the association for family history in Oldenburg

On 19 February 2020 Andrea Bentschneider will give a presentation on the topic „Auswanderung aus Deutschland in die weite Welt - Ursachen, Umstände und Zeugnisse“ (Emigration from Germany into the wide world - causes, conditions and certificates) for the Oldenburgische Gesellschaft für Familienkunde e.V. (association for family history in Oldenburg). The presentation will be at the regional library in Oldenburg.

Immigration and emigration research is one of Andrea’s research focuses. This means, there will be a lot to learn. The presentation will give an overview of reasons, finances and circumstances of emigration from Germany in the 19th and 20th century. Of course there will also be information on sources for genealogical research and Andrea will talk about the emigration of families from Oldenburg.

We are very excited and are looking forward to a great evening with hopefully many interested guests.
