Andrea Bentschneider at the SWR2 Matinee

On Sunday, 30 September 2018, Andrea Bentschneider was on the radio. The cultural magazine “SWR2 Matinee” is on air every Sunday between 09:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the German radio station SWR2.

Manuela Reichart presented the show on 30. September 2018 with the topic “Weit verzeigt: Wurzeln” (widely ramified: roots). During the first hour, our roots, meaning our ancestry, was the main topic. Afterwards roots of trees and roots in our nutrition were covered, too.

As a professional genealogist, Andrea Bentschneider was talking amongst other things about the fascination of genealogy, why people want to learn about their ancestors, their roots and what this knowledge means to them.

Besides Andrea Bentschneider, the forester and author Peter Wohlleben and the star cook Vincent Klink were talking at the show.

The interview with Andrea Bentschneider and other pieces of the show can now be heard over the Podcast of the SWR2 Matinee (only in German, hyperlinks below).
