Andrea Bentschneider at the 2019 IGGC in Sacramento

In June 2019, Andrea Bentschneider will be in Sacramento, California. She will be a presenter at the 2019 International German Genealogy Conference (IGGC) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel that is held 15-17 Jun 2019. Three days full of information and exchange on how to research your German ancestors.

Andrea Bentschneider will give three lectures on 16 and 17 Jun 2019:

  • Sunday, 16 Jun 2019, 09:30 - 10:30 a.m.: Emigration from Hamburg and Bremen in the 19th Century - Causes, Conditions, and Certificates
  • Sunday, 16 Jun 2019, 11:00 - 12:00 a.m.: Leaving a Paper Trail: German Sources Besides Church Books and Civil Records
  • Monday, 17 Jun 2019, 11:00 - 12:00 a.m.: Finding Living Relatives of your Emigrant Ancestors from Germany Today

The International German Genealogy Conference (IGGC) of the International German Genealogy Partnership (IGGP) is organized for the second time in 2019. In 2017, the first conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. More than 700 people are expected to attend the conference this year. It is  hosted by the Sacramento German Genealogy Society supported by a consortium of Germanic Genealogy Societies across the State.

The IGGP wants to connect genealogical societies in the United States and German speaking areas. Over 100 organizations and thousands of members all over the world are part of it.
