Andrea Bentschneider at Deutscher Genealogentag (German Genealogist Day)

The 71st German Genealogist Day takes place from 13 to 15 September 2019 in the town hall of Gotha, Thuringia. This year, the Genealogist Day will be held under the topic “70 Jahre DAGV - Von Gotha aus in die Zukunft der Genealogie“ ("70 years of DAGV- from Gotha to the Future of Genealogy"). This is the second time the German Genealogist Day takes place in the town of Gotha in Thuringia. Of course, Andrea Bentschneider will be attending the conference as well – as an interested professional genealogist and as the head of the Association of German-speaking Professional Genealogists.

This year's conference is organized by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Genealogie Thüringen (Working Group Genealogy Thuringia). Like every year, we are excited for the program on genealogy and family research. There will also be a diverse supporting program, consisting of city tours and other activities. One topic will most definitely be the 70th anniversary of the DAGV (umbrella organization of the genealogical and heraldic associations in Germany).

Of course, the Association of German-speaking Professional Genealogists will be represented with an exhibition stand at the conference like every year.

We are looking forward to seeing many colleagues and other interested persons on Gotha!
