…for us something very special started.
It is hard to believe that this month it is already 15 years ago, that Andrea Bentschneider turned her hobby into a profession with Beyond History. We are very proud of and happy about the development of the company. We are glad that thanks to it and its founder, we are able to work in a great, varied, emotional and always surprising profession where we can fulfill big and small dreams of our clients as professional genealogists.
Everything started in the 1980s/1990s with a photograph and later an email from America. Andrea Bentschneider’s interest in genealogy was awakened and became her hobby. On 01 July 2004, the trained hotel professional made a career out of her passion. Beyond History was born. It began as a one-woman operation out of the living room and in the following years developed into a successful business with its own offices and several employees.
Since this time, we have worked on hundreds of successful research projects for private persons and companies. For some clients we are doing research since the very beginning. Andrea Bentschneider has also worked for national and international TV productions and is a sought after expert for the media. Since September 2013 she is Chairwoman of the Association of German speaking Professional Genealogists. On the occasion of our anniversary, we have compiled a little company history on our website.
