In 1988, I received a photo (bottom left) of my paternal grandmother who had died during the bombings in 1943 – it was the first I had ever seen of her. Due to our resemblance, it immediately caught my interest. I felt a special connection and wanted to find out more about her.

It took a few more years for me to finally take up genealogy: In the early 1990's, I was contacted by a descendant of a William Bentschneider who had emigrated from Germany to America in 1854. It turned out that I had relatives in the USA. Since then, my own research has produced detailed information of over 2,000 persons.

Now obsession became profession: I combined my passion for family history and in-depth genealogical experience and established Beyond History.

Benefit from it and get in touch with my team and me – and with your own family history.

Sincerely,
